Imaguru Blockchainthon January 25, 26 and 27 of 2019

Event organizer: Imaguru

Registration for the next Blockchain Hackathon at Imaguru Madrid is open!

Imaguru Startup Hub celebrates its fourth Blockchainthon in Madrid on January 25, 26 and 27 of 2019.

Blockchainthon is a hackathon dedicated to the development of blockchain solutions. It is an event in which we bring together various professionals from developers and designers to business gurus and marketing, and … where magic emerges. People who have ideas, and don’t know where to start working, meet developers, who are looking for a product to create, to be able to do something new and unknown.

Our hackathons are based on blockchain. Nowadays, there is a lot of talk about blockchain or distributed registry technology, but we don’t want to talk: we want to create, to make the use of blockchain a reality in our daily lives. Blockchain is being implemented in various business sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, media, energy … so there is room for all kinds of professionals who can bring their experience.

To see how we spend it, have a look at our blog and videos.

Our hackathons are international because we synchronize several hackathons in different parts of the world with live streaming. We have the experience of having organized more than 60 hackatons in 5 years (in Minsk, London, Seoul, etc.). In January 2019, we will work with teams from Belarus, Minsk – a city that has a large community of blockchain developers. One of the success stories that came out of Imaguru’s hackathon is MSQRD, acquired by Facebook in 2015 – we hope the next one will be yours!

Who are our mentors? Those who have a lot to say about blockchain from the point of view of corporations (like BBVA or Minsait) and startups (like 2gether). In addition, at Imaguru we have a great team of developers who bring their technological expertise and help participants with the most difficult part – the code.

Blockchainthon lasts 48 hours, from Friday afternoon to Sunday night. This is how it will pan out:

Day 1: We start with the opening ceremony and give way to pitches. Participants with ideas have 30 seconds to present them. Right after the teams are formed, the developers approach the people with the ideas they like the most and get to work.

Day 2: Teams continue to work. Workshops and mentoring sessions are held with our Minsk mentors and developers to help participants.

Day 3: Prepare for final pitching, present prototypes, and award ceremony.

There are three reasons as to which you should join our Blockchainthon:

  1. First, to be able to make history with your project and win a prize.
  2. Second, to be able to meet great blockchain and networking professionals and,
  3. Third, we saved it to announce it in the hackathon!

P.S. If you are still doubting, read the references of the hackathon of blockchain that we had in Madrid in October 2018 and it will be much clearer!
